This two-day journey traces the footsteps of the Holy Family through the Nile Delta, offering a carefully curated exploration of some of Egypt’s most significant Christian heritage sites.
On the first day, the journey begins in Cairo and continues to Gharbia Governorate, where you will visit the Church of the Virgin Mary and Saint Abanoub. The tour then proceeds to Tanta to visit St. George's Cathedral, a site traditionally associated with the Holy Family’s presence in the region.
The journey continues to Tell Basta in the Sharqia Governorate, one of the earliest stations along the Holy Family’s route in Egypt. Here, you will explore the Tell Basta Museum and visit the sacred well, believed to be the source from which the Holy Family drank.
On the second day, travel to Sakha in Kafr El Sheikh Governorate, where you will visit the Church of the Virgin Mary and the archaeological collection museum. The museum houses the revered stone bearing the footprint of the infant Jesus, along with a collection of rare religious artifacts and icons.
The journey then continues to Samanoud in Gharbia Governorate, where the Holy Family is believed to have stayed for 17 days. Visit the Church of the Virgin Mary and Saint Abanoub, along with the sacred sites associated with their stay.
This journey offers a rich blend of spirituality, history, and cultural heritage, providing a deeper and more meaningful connection to the Holy Family’s path through Egypt.
